There is an increase in the number of natural disasters in the US, few solutions for post-disaster temporary housing, and even fewer that successfully rebuild community resilience. Through an interview with two victims of natural disasters, studies and analysis of three units similar to the solution designed by the researcher;

And the studies and analysis of three natural disasters in the US:

• Hurricane Katrina

• The 2011 Tornado Outbreak

• Hurricane Sandy

It is apparent that natural disaster are not going to magically stop and solutions that allow for re-building resilience within communities are not  solving the problems. 

            The recommended module possesses all factors for resilience in individuals, which ultimately leads to community resilience. Next steps include further research with full scale models.
